One injured, another in custody after Warner Robins shooting, deputies say

A 37-year-old man was shot once in the midsection Wednesday evening on the west side of Warner Robins in what sheriff’s investigators described as a domestic argument.

The victim, Stephan Hargett, was treated for non-life-threatening wound to his abdomen at a Macon hospital after the 7 p.m. shooting, Houston County sheriff’s Lt. Kent Bankston said in a statement.

The shooting happened in the 500 block of Tharpe Road, just east of U.S. 41.

Deputies later arrested Marion Scott, 35, on an aggravated assault charge in connection with the shooting, Bankston said.

The lieutenant told The Telegraph that the men had been arguing over “another individual.” He said he could not provide further details.

Scott was being held without bond in the Houston County Jail on Thursday.
