Drug-filled Christmas card leads to arrest of Macon man, sheriff says

A Macon man was arrested after he sent a Christmas card containing methamphetamine and Suboxone to an inmate, Bibb County sheriff’s officials said in a Monday news release.

Timothy Lee Snow, 40, is accused of sending inmate Mary Beth Odum a Christmas card containing the drugs on Dec. 20. He was arrested Jan. 9.

Odum told Snow over the phone how to get her the drugs in jail, sheriff’s officials said.

Investigators followed Snow from his Pendleton Court residence and he was taken into custody and found with meth, Xanax and a revolver.

A search of his home revealed additional meth, Suboxone, marijuana, steroids, packing materials, a 12-gauge shotgun and .22-caliber rifle, authorities said.

Snow was arrested on charges of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, and giving an inmate drugs.

He was being held without bond.

Anyone with information about this case was urged to call the sheriff’s office at 478-751-7500 or call the Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
