Teenagers wounded when shots fired into a Macon home, sheriff says

Shots were fired into a Macon home Thursday night wounding two teenagers, law enforcement officials say.

The 17-year-olds, both males, were taken to the Medical Center, Navicient Health, and later released, said Bibb County sheriff’s Sgt. Linda Howard.

Both were shot in the leg, she said.

The incident unfolded about 8 p.m. when shots were fired from the road into the home at the corner of Third Ave. and Moughon St., according to a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office news release.

Nine people were inside when the shots rang out. No one else was hurt.

No suspect or vehicle descriptions were available and the motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
