South Bibb bank robbed after masked woman makes bomb threat at drive through, sheriff says

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a masked woman who reportedly robbed a south Bibb bank.

At about 10:00 a.m., a woman wearing a mask and sunglasses robbed the Robins Financial Credit Union at 4066 Hartley Bridge Road, according to a release from the sheriff’s office.

The woman passed a note to the teller in the drive through stating there was a bomb in the bank. The note said “to pass money out or the bomb would be activated,” according to the release.

The woman was given an undisclosed amount of money. She drove off toward Houston Road on Hartley Bridge driving a black Nissan with no tag.

The area around the bank is still blocked off as the investigation continues. No injuries were reported.
