This is the car that struck a 7-year-old girl in a hit-and-run in Macon, authorities say
Photos of a car involved in a hit-and-run in which a 7-year-old girl was struck were released Tuesday by the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies need the public’s help in identifying the vehicle’s driver.
Zmya Whitus was on the edge of her driveway when she was struck by a vehicle traveling down St. Charles Place on Saturday afternoon, according to a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office news release. The driver kept going.
Whitus remained in stable condition Tuesday afternoon at the Medical Center, Navicient Health.
The incident took place at 4077 Saint Charles Place just before 4:45 p.m.
The vehicle involved appears to be a four-door, midsize vehicle that is possibly gold or tan, according to an updated release.
The incident remains under investigation.
