Cupcake customer returns for seconds and robs north Macon store

A man who purchased cupcakes at a north Macon store came back and robbed the place Tuesday evening.

Just after 6 p.m., a couple left Small Cakes at 5437 Bowman Road with a box of cupcakes and sat in a car in the parking lot, according to a Bibb County sheriff’s news release.

The man came back in the store alone with the box, bought more cupcakes, and as the cashier was ringing him up, he demanded money.

The robber, who did not show a weapon, took an undisclosed amount of cash and left the store that is in the loft building next to the Publix shopping center off Bass Road.

He got into an older model, dark colored, two-door car.

The robber is described as a white man who was wearing a black Adidas hat and a black and white shirt.
