A woman was killed Wednesday night in south Macon, Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones said.
Jones identified the victim as 57-year-old Ellen Runette Sandifer. He said Sandifer was beaten to death.
Bibb sheriff’s deputies were called just before 9 p.m. to the 1000 block of Triple Hill Drive where Sandifer’s body was found in the house.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office initially asked for help locating Kenneth Saraba Rainge, 51, who wanted for questioning in connection to the slaying. They later were able to speak with him, according to a news release.
