Macon man arrested in brutal beating at motel during argument over stolen car
A Macon man was arrested Tuesday on charges related to the beating of a man last month.
Orlando Craig Wedlowe, 49, of Sunnydale Drive, was booked into the Bibb County jail on an aggravated assault charge related to an attack on Samuel Sessions Nov. 26.
Wedlowe, who is known as "Tick," was identified as a suspect after Sessions suffered serious injuries at America's Best Inn & Suites on Harrison Road during an argument reportedly about a stolen car.
Wedlowe is accused of kicking an unconscious Sessions in the head.
That night, Corderio Clinkscale, 28, was arrested on an aggravated assault charge after allegedly punching Sessions, who fell, hit his head on concrete and was knocked out, according to a sheriff's news release.
Deputies said Sessions allegedly gave Clinkscale a stolen car to drive, which led to the fight.
Sessions originally was in critical condition in the Neurointensive Care Unit of the Medical Center, Navicent Health, but he was released a few days later.
Sessions and Wedlowe both served time at Georgia State Prison in recent years.
