Deputies investigate armed robbery at Macon restaurant
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a commercial armed robbery that took place Saturday evening at a restaurant.
According to a news release, the armed robbery occurred just after 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 9 at the Tai Wan Chinese Restaurant at 2525 Pio Nono Ave.
Deputies said two black males brandishing handguns entered the restaurant by an open rear door and demanded money, and one of the suspects fired a shot.
The employees then ran out the front door, and the suspects ran back out the rear door without getting anything. No one was injured.
The suspects were wearing masks and dark clothes. No other description was available.
