Undercover drug buys result in 21 arrests in south Georgia
For months before Wednesday’s bust, undercover officers had been buying drugs, mostly pills and methamphetamine, in an around Coffee County.
The lengthy investigation resulted in the arrests of 21 people who face drug possession and distribution charges.
According to a Coffee County Sheriff’s Office news release Thursday, the GBI, the Georgia Department of Corrections and authorities in Telfair, Appling, Jeff Davis counties aided in the investigation, which led to the following arrests:
▪ Jennifer Nicole Pritchard Smith, 41, is charged with posession Clonazepam pills and possession of meth.
▪ Victoria Jean Bowen, 47, is charged with selling Hydrocodone pills.
▪ Jessica Michelle Ornelas, 28, is charged with two counts of possession of Hydrocodone pills.
▪ Joan Lisa Harrell, 50, is charged with selling Clonazepam pills.
▪ James Henry Cady, 58, is charged with selling Hydrocodone pills, selling marijuana and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
▪ Everett Lee Moore Sr., 69, is charged with pimping and selling Hydrocodone pills.
▪ James Quinton Snipes, 73, is charged with two counts of selling Hydrocodone pills.
▪ Bruce Buster Carmichael, 54, is charged with selling Methadone.
▪ Oliver Ira Barfield Jr., 24, is charged with six counts of selling marijuana and one count of selling meth.
▪ Michael Wiley Jr., 25, is charged with selling meth.
▪ Joshua Jerome Pridgen, 41, is charged with selling Oxycodone pills.
▪ Marcus Antwan Davis, 33, is charged with selling meth and using a communication facility to commit or facilitate a drug transaction.
▪ Davarious Akeem Peterson, 26, is charged with two counts of selling meth.
▪ Billy Wayne Gifford, 59, is charged with distributing Oxycodone pills.
▪ Michael Lee Riles 36, is charged with selling meth and selling marijuana.
▪ Shawn "Demetrius" Nunn, 47, is charged with selling meth and using a communication facility to commit or facilitate a drug transaction.
▪ Jamey Antonio Coates, 42, is charged with two counts of selling cocaine, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of ecstasy with intent to distribute.
▪ Brandon James Thompson, 32, is charged with two counts of selling meth.
▪ John Wesley Cook, 54, is charged with possession of cocaine.
▪ Karen Ann McKinnon, 55, is charged with three counts of selling Hydrocodone pills.
