Woman reportedly attacked while running at Oconee River Greenway
A woman reported to police that a man tried to hurt her while she was running at the Oconee River Greenway early Monday evening.
The 22-year-old told Milledgeville police detectives that a white man attacked her about 5:30 p.m., but she was able to fight him off and get away, according to a Tuesday news release from the police department.
She described the man as having an average build and estimated he was in his mid-30s, the news release states.
Police provided no additional details about the alleged attack, which was still being investigated.
