A gunman demanded cash at a northeast Macon fast food restaurant Tuesday night.

Just before 9:30 p.m., a man with gauze bandages covering his face pulled a gun at the counter of the Wendy’s at 1073 Gray Highway, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

Several employees were in the fast food restaurant at the time, and a worker at the counter handed over money from the cash register.

The gunman ran out of Wendy’s toward the Flash Foods on Gray Highway.

He was described as a black man wearing a black hoodie and blue pants.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the Bibb sheriff’s office at 478-751-7500 or Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 877-68-CRIME.
