A woman was arrested Friday night and charged for her involvement in a personal robbery that happened last month. A man also allegedly involved is being sought.

The incident took place just before 9:30 p.m. Oct. 27 at the S&A Grocery at 1103 Rocky Creek Road, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

A 23-year-old man was backing his vehicle in the parking lot of the business when he struck a gold Mercury Marquis. When he got out of his vehicle to talk to the driver of the Marquis, a man in the vehicle started an argument which led to a physical fight.

A female, also in the Mercury, joined in the fight while her 3-year-old child was in the car, according to the release. The male suspect reportedly took the victim’s car keys and his wallet from his pants pocket.

Both suspects got back into the Mercury and left the scene.

The female suspect was identified as 28-year-old Saultavia Smith, and she was picked up Friday by the sheriff’s office and questioned. She was charged with robbery, entering auto, battery and cruelty to children, the release said.

Smith was taken to jail, and she has a bond of $14,450.

The man with her was identified as 24-year-old Carey Darnell Watts Jr. Investigators are asking for the public’s help in finding him. Watts is described as a black man, 5-foot 4-inches tall and weighing about 130 pounds. He has a tattoo on the right side of his neck that is the word “savage” or “savager.”
