Owens also is charged with possession of a gun during the commission of a crime.
Another armed robbery occurred just Tuesday morning and police were still searching for a suspect Thursday night.
The Ramada Inn at 2024 Watson Boulevard was robbed at gunpoint about 8 a.m.
A man dressed in all black toted a gun inside, brandished it and demanded money. The bandit was wearing all black clothing and hid his face. Parson said the bandit pushed the hotel clerk, slightly injuring them before fleeing with the cash.
