After 3 Macon homicides on Halloween, man is critically wounded in shooting

As Bibb County sheriff’s homicide investigators were busy with three killings on Halloween, shots rang out late Tuesday in south Macon.

Just after 10:30 p.m., Kibwe Troupe-Steed, 22, was shot multiple times at Rutland Place Apartments at 5577 Houston Road, according to a news release from the Bibb County sheriff’s office.

Troupe-Steed had just stepped outside the front door of a unit in the 1500 building when others inside the apartment heard gunshots.

They found Troupe-Steed wounded and pulled him back inside the apartment.

He was transported to Medical Center, Navicent Health, where he is in critical condition.
