Alleged copper thief found hiding in attic of vacant house
A northwest Bibb County house seemed empty when sheriff’s deputies arrived to a reported burglary Tuesday afternoon, until they checked the attic.
Officers found 50-year-old Frank Tripp trying to take copper wiring and other items from the home at 5801 Zebulon Roaad, according to a sheriff’s news release.
Tripp, who is listed as homeless in jail records, is charged with burglary and a probation violation.
