Accused killers of corrections officers returned to Georgia from Tennessee
The two escaped inmates who fled Georgia after the shooting deaths of two guards on a transport bus are back in Putnam County.
Sheriff Howard Sills traveled Monday to Tennessee where Ricky Dubose and Donnie Rowe were captured Thursday after being on the run since June 13.
Sills interviewed the couple who encountered the fugitives in their home before extraditing the men back to Eatonton where they will face a judge Wednesday morning.
Dubose and Rowe are accused of killing corrections sergeants Chris Monica and Curtis Billue by overpowering them and taking one of their weapons and shooting them multiple times.
The Telegraph’s Joe Kovac Jr. has exclusive footage of the men leaving the jail in Murfeesboro and traveled with the law enforcement caravan.
