Man robs Macon gas station

An armed man robbed a Macon gas station early Thursday morning.

At about 1 a.m., a man wearing a brown jacket and mask entered the Walthall Chevron gas station at 3720 Riverside Drive. He demanded money from the register and received an undisclosed amount, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

The man, who had a handgun, fled in the direction of Burger King. No one was injured.
