Take The Sun to ... Dunnottar Castle in Scotland
Dave and Carolyn Schomer, of Warner Robins, took The Sun News on a five-week vacation to Scotland, Wales and England as part of a celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple researched the hometowns of ancestors and visited, numerous research centers and historic sites. This photo was taken at the partly restored ruins of Dunnottar Castle on the north shore of Scotland near Aberdeen. One of Carolyn Schomer’s ancestors was held in prison in the Whigs Vault as a religious dissenter before being banished to America in 1685.
