Woman shot in Fort Valley residence

The Fort Valley Police Department is investigating the Tuesday morning shooting of a 20-year-old woman in an Emory Street home, according to a news release from the department.

Tynekquia Robb, of Riverdale, was shot in her lower torso about 2:20 a.m. at 304 Emory St., the release said. She was taken to the Medical Center, Navicent Health for treatment and is in stable condition. Witnesses told police that three black men, who were wearing all black, entered the home brandishing guns and demanding money, the release said.

The Peach County Sheriff's Office is assisting with the investigation, according to the release.
