More than 50 arrested in Houston County drug bust
More than 50 people have been arrested since Monday in an on-going drug investigation by the Houston County Sheriff’s Office, Perry Police Department, Warner Robins Police Department and Houston County District Attorney’s Office.
In all, 71 arrest warrants were issued for mostly drug offenses, with 53 people arrested and authorities actively seeking others, according to a Warner Robins police news release. More arrests are expected.
Five other people were previously arrested Feb. 8 in connection with the same investigation, the release said.
“Our investigation revealed over 70 people were found to be involved in the selling and buying of cocaine and several prescription drugs to include hydrocodone, oxycodone and xanax,” Jennifer Parson, public information officer for Warner Robins police, said via an email.
The street value ranges between $20 and $30 per pill, Parson said.

The most common charge was use of communications facilities in a drug transaction. Other charges ranged from possession to manufacture/sell/possession/distribution of an illegal drug. All charges were felonies.
Most of the people arrested lived in Warner Robins and other parts of Houston County. Others arrested lived in Hawkinsville, Griffin, McRae and Locust Grove.
Also participating in the arrests were U.S. marshals and state probation and parole officers, the release said.
According to arrest warrants released by Warner Robins police, Many of those arrested were employed in jobs ranging from auto sales to mail delivery to plumbing to working in restaurants. Others were unemployed.
