Warner Robins PD: Injured pedestrians not critical
Three pedestrians who police reported were seriously injured after being struck by a car in Warner Robins on Wednesday afternoon ended up being treated for only minor injuries, according to an updated news release from the police department.
The department originally said that 24-year-old Kierstin Johnson was in critical condition at Medical Center, Navicent Health, after being struck in the parking lot at 2929 Watson Blvd. by a man driving a Honda Accord.
Johnson's condition improved and she was treated for minor injuries and released, Jennifer Parson, spokeswoman for the department, said in an email Thursday night.
Johnson's sibling, 20-year-old Kayle Johnson, and mother, 54-year-old Kim Johnson Lambert were also reportedly taken to the medical center with serious injuries, according to the Wednesday night news release.
However, a Thursday night release stated they too had only been treated for minor, non-life threatening injuries.
No charges have been filed against the driver, a 29-year-old from Fort Valley, according to the latest release.
The investigation is ongoing.
