Teen charged with string of burglaries in Warner Robins

An 18-year-old was arrested Thursday on charges of burglarizing a string of businesses in Warner Robins over a four-day period in late November.

Andre Jermaine Carswell Jr. is charged with eight counts of burglary in the second degree and is being held in the Houston County jail, according to a news release from the Warner Robins Police Department.

The burglaries took place from Nov. 24 to Nov. 28 between 4:20-7 a.m. each day. The first reported burglary occurred Nov. 24 at the Sunoco gas station on Moody Road, according to the release.

On Nov. 25, officers responded to five commercial businesses' alarms including: Iron Peach on S. Houston Lake Road; Moody Cleaners on Moody Road; Fillers #21 on Moody Road; Quick Stop Computers on Ga. 96 and Simply Cupcakes on S. Houston Lake Road, according to the release.

On Nov. 28, China Wok on North Houston Road and Sunoco on Leverette Road were burglarized.

The front glass of several businesses was shattered. One business reported an undisclosed amount of money was stolen.

Warner Robins police reported the burglaries were committed by two young men wearing dark clothes with hoods over their heads, according to the release. The cases are still being investigated by detective Brett Rozier.
