Fort Valley shooting victim refuses to talk

A Marshallville man showed up at a Peach County hospital Friday with a gunshot wound but wouldn't say how it happened, according to police.

At about 6:45 p.m. Friday, Fort Valley officers were dispatched to a report of shots fired at 511 College St., according to a release. A short time later at Peach County Medical Center, Navicent Health, officers found Michael Antonio Ford, 33, with a gunshot wound to the upper torso. He refused to tell officers anything about the shooting or even where it happened, the release stated.

He is in stable condition at the Medical Center, Navicent Health in Macon. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Fort Valley Police Department at 478-825-3383.
