A bond hearing for a 13-year-old boy charged with murder in the shooting death of another teen has been postponed a second time.

Kaden Chase Barefoot, who is being tried as an adult, also has been charged with aggravated assault, aggravated battery, possession of a weapon during a crime, possession of a weapon by an underage person and a prescription-drug-possession charge.

He is accused of shooting 16-year-old Ryan Skeen in the neck Oct. 26 on Franklin Square in a neighborhood south of Feagin Mill Road. Skeen died Oct. 28 at the Medical Center, Navicent Health.

Authorities have released few details of the circumstances of the shooting.

Keagan Waystack and Gregory Bushway, Macon attorneys now representing Barefoot, could not be reached for comment late Wednesday afternoon. Barefoot was represented at his first appearance hearing last month by Warner Robins attorney David Daniell.

Barefoot's bond hearing had been set for 9 a.m. Thursday. A new date has not been set, said Houston County District Attorney George Hartwig via email.

Barefoot is being held in the Crisp County Youth Detention Center.
