Some road closures expected for Miss America motorcade Saturday morning

WARNER ROBINS -- Watson Boulevard is expected to be closed in sections Saturday morning for the motorcade for Miss America Betty Cantrell of Warner Robins.

The motorcade is expected to line up at the Houston Pavilion at 233 North Houston Road before moving onto Watson Boulevard and traveling east, according to a Warner Robins police news release.

Between 9:15 and 10 a.m., North Houston Road between Bernard Drive and Watson Boulevard will be blocked while the motorcade assembles. The motorcade is expected to get underway at 10 a.m.

Beginning at 9:30 a.m. portions of Watson Boulevard will be closed in increments at each intersection along the route in preparation of the motorcade passing by, the release said.

The motorcade is expected to end at 11 a.m. in front of Warner Robins City Hall.
