Boy dies in swing accident in Warner Robins

WARNER ROBINS -- Police said Friday that the death of 10-year-old boy found tangled in a homemade rope swing is thought to be accidental.

Thursday night, the boy was found unresponsive in the swing by family members in the backyard of their Pine Valley Drive home, according to a Warner Robins police news release.

He was taken to Houston Medical Center and later died from his injuries, the release said.

The child's identity was not released.

"At this time, we are working this case as an accidental death," the news release stated. "No foul play is suspected."

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.

Multiple agencies are jointly investigating the incident.

No other information related to the circumstances of the boy's death was released by Warner Robins police.
