BONAIRE -- Three people have been arrested in connection with a shooting Wednesday night in the 100 block of Jubilee Circle.

Reginald Kiper, 36, was charged with aggravated assault and possession of a handgun during a crime, said Houston County sheriff’s Lt. Dave Carrick.

Erika Kiper, 32, and Shaneka Daughtry, 28, were charged with hindering apprehension of Kiper, giving false statements to sheriff’s deputies and obstruction. The hindering apprehension and false statements charges are felonies.

All three live at the Jubilee Circle residence. The shooting occurred in their driveway shortly before 7:30 p.m.

Alfred Robinson, 42, of Warner Robins, suffered gunshot wounds to his upper back/shoulder area and his left buttocks. He was listed Thursday in stable condition at Coliseum Medical Centers in Macon.

At 7:26 p.m. Wednesday, a Houston County sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to the Jubilee Circle residence in reference to shots fired, according to the sheriff’s incident report. While driving to the home, the deputy learned through 911 that the victim had fled in a pickup.

When the deputy reached the residence, he saw blood on the concrete driveway and called for backup.

After other deputies arrived, Deputies E.D. Salter and Karl Darden knocked on the front door, and Erika Kiper answered. They also conducted a search of the home and talked with everyone there. Kiper told authorities that Robinson went to the residence looking for her brother, Reginald, who was not at home, according to the report.

Erika Kiper told officials that while Robinson was waiting for a ride, a man driving a blue car got out and started shooting at Robinson, the report said.

But her account was not true, which is what led to the charges against her, Carrick said.

Investigators have determined that Robinson was in the driveway talking to the women when Reginald Kiper arrived home, Carrick said.

“We’re trying to get to the bottom of this,” Carrick said. “We think there’s a feud or some bad blood between them. We don’t know what the boiling point was.”

Reginald Kiper was found by Darden at another residence on Jubilee Circle and arrested, police said.

Robinson had been driven to Houston County Medical Center by some friends who picked him up shortly after the shooting, Carrick said. He was later taken by ambulance to the Coliseum Medical Centers.

Anyone with information related to the incident is asked to call Houston County sheriff’s Sgt. Angel Nunez or Carrick at 478-542-2080 or 478-542-2085.
