Warner Robins firefighters to hold demonstration day Saturday

WARNER ROBINS -- Firefighters will be showcasing rope rescue skills as part of a demonstration day Saturday.

The event is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Home Depot parking lot at 2620 Watson Blvd., according to a Warner Robins Fire Department news release.

Several exhibits including the Georgia Search and Rescue Trailer, a wildland exhibit and a dive team showcase will be set up. Activities for children also are expected.

The event starts with an honor guard presentation at 10 a.m. that will be repeated at noon.

Fire extinguisher demonstrations are scheduled for 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Rope rescue demonstrations are set for 11:00 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Also, the Fire Safety House will be set up for children at 10:30 a.m. and at 12:30 p.m.

In addition, certified personnel will be on hand to conduct child safety seat checks.
