Warner Robins woman injured in single-car wreck

A 26-year-old Warner Robins woman was injured Wednesday night in a single-car wreck, according to a Warner Robins Police Department news release.

Courtney Welchel was driving a 2006 Cadillac CTS on Leisure Lake Drive when she veered into oncoming traffic, hit two mailboxes, continued traveling about 1000 feet and crossed back into oncoming traffic, the release said. The vehicle then hit a tree, went airborne and rolled.

Welch was transported to the Medical Center, Naviscent Health in Macon, where she is listed in critical condition.

Warner Robins police are still investigating the cause of the wreck.
