Warner Robins High faces second bomb threat this month. Deputies investigating
The Houston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a bomb threat reported Monday morning at Warner Robins High School.
The Houston County School District said the campus received the threat in a robocall. This is the second threat made against the school in the past two weeks amid a broader string of lockdowns across the school system over the past two months.
“Out of an abundance of caution, law enforcement is on campus and actively conducting a thorough search of the building. All students and staff are being safely evacuated, and we are following our established safety protocols,” the district shared with parents Monday. “We will continue to work closely with law enforcement and will provide updates as more information becomes available. The safety and well-being of our students and staff is our number one priority.”
The Houston County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating and working to identify the source of the call, according to Sheriff Matt Moulton.
As authorities work with school administrators and staff, the public has been urged to avoid the area of the high school at this time.
“As always, the safety and security of our students, faculty, and staff remain our highest priority,” Moulton said in a statement.
A bomb threat was made at Warner Robins High School on May 4, in which Moulton said the incident appear to have been a hoax.
