Police want tips after shooting injures man in Warner Robins apartments
A man was shot and injured Monday afternoon in an apartment complex in Warner Robins, according to a city official.
The survivor and suspect were not strangers to each other, according to a news release from Mandy Stella, the city clerk.
“This incident was not a random act,” and it was being investigated as aggravated assault, she said.
A 34-year-old was found with a gunshot wound in his hip after 4 p.m. at Element at Warner Robins apartments at 109 Latham Drive, Stella said.
Officers of the Warner Robins Police Department responded to the scene, and emergency medical services took the 34-year-old to a Macon hospital, the news release said.
He was in “stable condition” Tuesday morning, Stella said.
No one was arrested by Tuesday afternoon, she told The Telegraph. Police described a suspect as a man in his 30s.
Officers were investigating the shooting and urged anyone with related details to call the police department at 478-302-5380, or Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
