‘Just deep-fried the Lombardi Trophy.’ This burger named Warner Robins’ best
Celebrating like Super Bowl champs, Tap and Pour won the bragging rights for the best burger in Warner Robins with their Mac & Cheese Smash.
The signature burger creation captured 286 votes out of 954 total votes cast in the contest for the title of “People’s Choice Winner” in the 2025 Warner Robins Burger Week, based on updated information from the city of Warner Robins.
The burger featured two seared beef patties topped with American cheese, creamy mac and cheese with bacon, and shredded cheese, served on a brioche bun with house-made comeback sauce and finished with crispy fried pork skins.
“The Mac & Cheese Smash took home the crown, and we’re still trying to process it (and maybe still digesting a few),” Tap and Pour posted on Facebook. “Massive thank you to everyone who showed up, voted, and supported us through the chaos. The lines, the laughs, the late nights — every bit of it was worth it.
“To my crew: y’all are the reason this place is what it is. You worked your tails off and made this crazy dream happen. Couldn’t ask for a better team. Warner Robins… we did it! Now excuse us while we go celebrate like we just deep-fried the Lombardi Trophy.”
The Burger Week contest
Known for their craft and domestic beers, burgers and beer garden, Tap and Pour competed with 19 other businesses to win the 10-day contest that took place from Sept. 19-28.
The 2025 contestants included a variety of restaurants, coffee and dessert shops, a bakery, and an Asian market.
Those competing were invited by the city of Warner Robins and Visit Warner Robins to “showcase their creativity and culinary skills” with a burger creation that’s not on the regular menu.
A digital burger pass was available to diners to check in at participating establishments and cast their votes.
Organizers recorded a total of 3,899 total check-ins, with 1,437 unique users who downloaded the digital burger pass and checked in at least once, according to the updated information. In all, 2,203 digital passes were downloaded.
“Burger Week continues to showcase the incredible talent and creativity of our local chefs and restaurant owners,” Mayor LaRhonda Patrick said in the news release. “We’re thrilled to see such strong community participation and regional support for our local businesses.”
In the inaugural 2024 competition, Props Steak and Seafood Restaurant claimed the No. 1 spot for The Crunch Burger. Tap and Pour came in second with their Southwest Smash burger.
In this year’s competition, Props Steak and Seafood Restaurant had the second highest number of votes with 263 cast for their Black Tie Truffle Burger, according to the updated information.
