Warner Robins is about to become a hub of high-flying adventure when three new trampoline and adventure parks open within a short distance of each other.

All are expected to offer a wide variety of attractions, including some unique to their locations.

One is a new build, while the other two are going into existing buildings.

Two are franchises, with one having local owners. The other is the third location for two brothers who started in the business from scratch. Here’s a look at each:

Xtreme Air Mega Park

Brothers Todd and Brad Buckelew of Dothan, Alabama, are opening their third Xtreme Air Mega Park at 705 Osigian Blvd. in Warner Robins.

The more than 40,000-square-foot, three-story trampoline park will house a trampoline main court, trampoline dodgeball and trampoline basketball, a three-story, 10,000-square-foot playground with about 10 slides, a zipline, ropes course and an arcade.

The trampoline park is billed to have the largest inflatable in the U.S. at more than 15,000 square feet.

Todd Buckelew described the inflatable as a giant bounce house about 150 feet long and 80 feet wide with slides, an obstacle course, and a host of inflated attractions inside of it.

The trampoline park is geared for all ages but also will offer a kids playground, which is designed for children typically 10 and under.

Also, the facility will offer 10 party rooms for special events such as birthday parties. The party rooms come with a party host who is a trampoline park employee who helps set up the room, grab drinks, cut and pass out the cake and clean up afterwards.

The brothers recently added an 18-hole miniature golf course to other planned attractions for the trampoline park.

When they originally started working on bringing the park to Warner Robins in 2022, there was no competition, Todd Buckelew said.

“I’d rather not have competition … but we have it in other areas and we do just fine,” he said.

Formerly in the restaurant industry, the brothers opened their first Xtreme Air Mega Park in Dothan, Alabama, in 2018 after visiting their first trampoline park while on vacation a year earlier.

They opened their second location in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, about 6 miles south of Chattanooga, Tennessee, in 2020.

What sets Xtreme Air Warner Robins apart is its “massive inflatable,” Buckelew said.

The trampoline park will likely get a new attraction each year.

“Probably every year we add a new piece to it,” Buckelew said. “We adapt to what the kids are enjoying.”

After a few construction delays, the brothers are shooting to open the trampoline park in early November with hiring and membership offers expected to start in October.

“It’s going to be amazing,” said Buckelew, noting that there will be “a little something for everyone.”

The new building is next to a Warner Robins fire station. Buckelew expects to be on site for the first four months of opening to get the trampoline park up and running.

Sky Zone

David and Sandra Milby, and his brother and sister-in-law, William and Crystal Milby, are bringing family entertainment back to 815 Russell Parkway as the franchise owners of a new Sky Zone Trampoline Park.

Before it was a Badcock Home Furniture & More location, the nearly 65,000 square foot building was home to Johnny G’s Fun Center that offered go-karts, laser tag, bumper cars, mini-golf and more. Initially named DJ’s GalaxyQuest, Jonny G’s Fun Center was in operation for 16 years.

The building is undergoing a major renovation, with no official word on a targeted opening date.

The largest trampoline park franchise globally, Sky Zone offers more than 60 potential attractions for franchisees to choose from, including ninja courses, a toddler zone, air courts, drop zones and zip lines. The trampoline parks are built to suit.

In May 2023 when the Milbys and Sky Zone announced the coming trampoline park, the Milbys were looking for the right building — with David Milby noting that site selection would heavily determine what attractions would be offered.

But he identified several that were expected to be incorporated, including a free-style trampoline area, an air court, sky zone, drop slide, drop zone, King of the Hill contest, dodge ball, ninja warrior course and a warped wall.

While guests can expect general Sky Zone attractions, Sandra Milby said they’re not quite ready to reveal everything that will be featured at the Warner Robins location.

“We’re going to keep everyone in a little bit more suspense,” she said.

When first planning to open a Sky Zone, Milby said they were aware of “speculation of other parks.”

“We’re a very active community,” she said. “I think it’s going to be a lot of fun to have different options.”

Sky Zone offers itself as a destination for birthdays, team gatherings and after-school activities

Operated by a different franchisee, a Sky Zone in Macon closed abruptly in July 2024 after more than an eight-year run.

Sky Zone owns, operates and franchises more than 300 air trampoline parks globally, with most of them in the U.S. Georgia locations include Atlanta, Buford, Columbus, Douglasville, McDonough, Smyrna and Roswell, according to the Sky Zone website. Warner Robins will make eight in the state.

Additionally, the Milbys are known in Middle Georgia for another successful franchise business with multiple locations.

David and William and their father, Bill, own Visiting Angels of Central Georgia, which provides non-medical, comprehensive home care for older adults. Sandra is vice president of business development and Crystal is vice president of finance at Visiting Angels of Central Georgia, which has been in business for 17 years.

Big Air

Dustin Pelletier, a native of Greenville, South Carolina, is gearing up to open a Big Air Trampoline Park in the Houston County Galleria in Centerville.

Expected to open in the fall if all goes to plan, Big Air Warner Robins will be Pelletier’s fifth franchise location. His first Big Air franchise opened in Spartanburg, South Carolina, in 2016.

The 40,000-square-foot trampoline park is going into the former Conn’s HomePlus space next to Crunch Fitness. Combined, the two businesses fill what was once Sears, one of the original anchors of the indoor mall.

Big Air Warner Robins is expected to offer about 50 attractions including battlebeam, a padded jousting beam over a giant airbag pit, and Lil’ Ninja, a multi-story soft play area designed for kids ages 6 and under.

Other attractions include a zipline, launch slide, warped wall, climbing walls and ropes course, dodgeball, a multi-sport airtrack court, main court trampolines and more.

The Houston County Galleria location will be only the second of Pelletier’s Big Air franchises to feature Arena X, an obstacle course with hidden beacons for players to find for points. His first Big Air in Spartanburg, South Carolina, features this attraction.

His other locations include Greenville, South Carolina, Columbus, Ohio, and Auburn, Washington, a suburb of Seattle.

Big Air Warner Robins will include both Lil’ Ninja, a multi-level softplay course for guests 6 and under, and a full-scale Ninja Warrior Course featuring obstacle challenges for all ages like the one above at Big Air Columbus.

Big Air Warner Robins also will have a full-service Big Eats cafe capable of seating about 100 people.

“We announced and signed a lease prior to Sky Zone announcing that they were also coming,” Pelletier said. “So that was kind of news to me, but we, of course, knew about the other one that was coming into town.”

He’s undaunted by the competition.

“We know that Big Air has a fantastic offering and a fantastic product,” Pelletier said. “We have a good location and we’re very confident in kind of what we offer to the community — not just the varied attractions …

“But our pricing model and our attention to detail, our attention to customer service and safety, how we market to customers, and the different cafe offerings that we have. All of these blend up into, I think, a better offering … We aim to come in and set the standard very high.”

The closest trampoline park already open in Middle Georgia is Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park in the Northpark Center at 156 Tom Hill Sr. Blvd., Macon. Urban Air opened in February 2021.
