BJ’s Wholesale Club targets fall opening in Warner Robins. Take a peek inside.
BJ’s Wholesale Club held a celebratory event Wednesday ahead of the targeted opening of its new club in Warner Robins with more than one ceremonial groundbreaking and a peek inside.
The event included elected officials, the original developers of the property, BJ’s representatives, employees, the wholesale club’s colossal cookie mascot, and representatives of a Macon non-profit that will be aided by the new club.
The new club is under construction at 6201 Watson Blvd. on a nearly 21-acre site in Peach County that’s been annexed by the city of Warner Robins.
Peach County Commission Chairman Martin Moseley welcomed BJ’s and encouraged locals to take advantage of a special membership promotion.
Warner Robins Mayor LaRhonda Patrick also welcomed BJ’s and lauded the cooperation among the city and its neighboring county.
“Everybody is excited about BJ’s coming to Middle Georgia,” she said.
Those in attendance got a guided tour inside, as long as they wore a safety vest and a hard hat.
The club is expected to open in the fall, with a grand opening date to be determined.
“This has long since been a demand from our residents and visitors to have a wholesale club like BJ’s within our local community, and we are so excited to deliver on that promise here today,” Kate Hogan, community and economic development director for the city of Warner Robins, said in an interview.
“We are excited, because it will help support small businesses. Two, it’ll help us create a stronger retail trade area because we pull from an hour in each direction, and then also it’s going to create so many fantastic jobs for our local community.”
The new BJ’s is expected to hire 120 to 150 people.
“Our mission really is to serve hard working families, and this community is such a great fit for us,” said BJ’s Briana Bryant, senior manager of external communications, in an interview. She shared a host of benefits of joining the Warner Robins club.
Here are five key takeaways:
Welcome reward
BJ’s is offering a special membership deal for the Warner Robins club, where local shoppers can sign up online or in the BJ’s mobile app for a $60 membership and get a $40 welcome reward, according to Bryant. The $40 welcome reward will be added to the primary membership account 24 hours after enrollment to be used within 60 days from the date of the club opening.
It’s redeemable in-club, in the BJ’s app and on bjs.com. As the club gets closer to opening, BJ’s will set up a membership center where people may also join in person. The special offer is expected to remain in effect through the grand opening weekend.

Some restrictions apply.
Helping the needy
Upon opening, the Warner Robins club will donate food weekly to the Middle Georgia Community Food Bank in Macon. The non-profit aims to provide food to those in need across its 24-county service area by partnering with community partners that in turn provide food at soup kitchens, after-school programs, shelters, senior programs and other social service programs.
The food bank is a member of Feeding America and Feeding Georgia.
“It’s definitely an opportunity for us to keep a lot of hungry families fed in our community,” Isan Sampson, community outreach supervisor for the food bank, said of BJ’s humanitarian outreach.
