Most Houston County restaurants and bars earned “A’s” at their routine inspections for the reporting period of Dec. 1-31, according to what was reported Tuesday in the state health department’s online portal.

Of those, more than two dozen restaurant and bars earned perfect scores of 100. Eight received “B’s,” only one was graded a “C,” and none failed their routine inspection.

Here’s a list of restaurants and bars by area with perfect scores:

State environmental health inspectors assign grades based on how many points are deducted from 100, with scores 69 and below considered failing.

An “A” for “food safety excellence” is based on a score between 90 and 100. A grade of “B” for “satisfactory compliance” is for a score between 80 and 89. A “C” for “marginal compliance” is based on a score of 70 to 79, while a “U” for “unsatisfactory compliance” is received for a score of 69 or less.
