A man at the wheel of a Toyota Avalon died Thursday night after a two-car crash in Warner Robins, officials said.

Timothy Godfrey, 40, drove his car down North Houston Road north of Watson Boulevard at about 9:30 p.m. Thursday before the crash, according to a statement from the Warner Robins Police Department.

Godfrey collided with a GMC Acadia that was stopped to make a left turn onto Greenbriar Road, the statement said. He was unconscious when police arrived.

Godfrey died after being taken to a local hospital, according to the statement. The driver and passenger of the GMC also went to the hospital following the collision, though the severity of their injuries was unclear in the statement.

The crash was still under investigation Friday, the statement said. Anyone with information on the crash was asked by the Warner Robins Police Department to call 478-293-1037.
