Jack’s Family Restaurants to open a Warner Robins location. Here are the details
Known for its Southern hospitality and fresh buttermilk biscuits made from scratch, Jack’s Family Restaurants is opening a Warner Robins location.
Jack’s will be located at 1284 South Houston Lake Road, the site of a former car wash that recently came down to make room for the restaurant. Site prep work continues.
Construction is expected to start in January, with the restaurant targeted to open in early spring.
“It all starts with our biscuits,” said John Whitten, a field marketing coordinator for the restaurant chain. “Made fresh every day by some of the best biscuit makers in the world.
“You won’t be disappointed, it’s a must-try item. We have fantastic food and wonderful people that give a proper nod to the Southern traditions that we all enjoy. Whether you’re stopping by for a top-notch breakfast or are just in the mood for a milkshake, expect to leave with a smile.”
The menu
From bacon, eggs and cheese to pork chops to ham, biscuits are served a variety of ways, including the Southern classic of biscuits and gravy. Biscuits are sold separately or as a combo meal that includes hash browns.
The breakfast menu also includes the deluxe breakfast of two scrambled eggs, grits, hash browns, biscuits, sausage gravy, sausage or bacon. Also offered are pancakes and a breakfast sandwich or wrap.
For lunch or dinner, Jack’s serves up a variety of hamburgers and cheeseburgers options along with a fried or baked chicken sandwich. The restaurant also offers fried chicken fingers or chicken pieces as snacks, dinners and boxes. Sides include fries, coleslaw, green beans and mashed potatoes.
Salad choices are a side salad, BLT salad and a baked or fried chicken salad. Sweet tea, lemonade and iced coffee are among drink options and dessert offerings include a cinnamon roll, fried pie, ice cream scoops, milkshakes and chocolate chunk cookies.
The restaurant also offers catering — “a big one for us,” Whitten said.

The 3,257-square-foot restaurant will include a large open dining room with a window through which guests can watch biscuits being made. The dining room is expected to be able to seat up to 68 people, and the outside covered porch offers six rocking chairs.
The restaurant also features a double-lane drive thru with a canopy, with Warner Robins among the first Jack’s to offer this feature, Whitten said.
A tentative opening date has been set for April 20.
Founded in 1960 in Homewood, Alabama, Jack’s Family Restaurants started as Jack’s Hamburgers in a walk-up hamburger stand that served 15-cent burgers and fries, 10-cent sodas and 20-cent shakes.
Today, the restaurant chain boasts more than 200 locations in Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi and Georgia. The closest Georgia location is in Barnesville, about 60 miles away from the planned Warner Robins store.
