Cops investigate early morning stabbing in Warner Robins

Warner Robins police are investigating the stabbing of a 69-year-old man inside his Warner Robins home early Friday.

Johnnie Lee Stubbs told Warner Robins police he was stabbed while he was asleep on his couch at his home at 252 Ward St., police said.

Stubbs was taken to the Medical Center, Navicent Health. He was stabbed in the chest, police said.

“Mr. Stubbs said an unknown male, possibly named ‘Hawk’ was responsible,” according to a Warner Robins police news release.

Officers were dispatched to the scene at 3:30 a.m.
