City of Perry cancels events due to coronavirus concerns

The city of Perry has canceled all of its community events this month and next, including the Perry International Festival, due to coronavirus concerns.

The decision was made out of a commitment to the “safety and well-being of citizens and visitors” at called meeting of mayor and council Thursday, according to a city Facebook post.

Events include:

Perry International Festival —March 21

Food Truck Friday — April 3

Special Needs Community Egg Hunt — April 4

The Dogwood Derby — April 18

Yoga in the Park — April 25
