He wielded a pellet pistol, ran off with hundreds in Warner Robins robbery, warrant says
A man has been arrested in connection with Tuesday night’s robbery of a Sunoco convenience store and gas station in Warner Robins, police said.
Presbitero Echevarria Jr., 57, was being held without bond Friday at the Houston County jail in Perry on two counts of armed robbery.
Echevarria was charged with two counts because he allegedly pointed a pellet pistol that resembled a real firearm at two store employees during the robbery, according to the arrest warrant.
He was arrested without incident at his Garland Terrace residence in Warner Robins by city police detectives and the agency’s special weapons and tactical team Thursday.
At 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, a man, who was later identified as Echevarria, pointed what police initially said was a handgun at clerks at the store at 2512 Moody Road and demanded money, according to a Warner Robins news release.
He ran away with an estimated $700 to $800 in case, the warrant said.
Anyone with any related information is asked to contact Warner Robins police Detective Justin Clark at 478-302-5380, or Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
