Bulldog stolen from Athens home. Have you seen Chapel?

A University of Georgia student’s Athens residence was broken into Tuesday night and only one thing was taken: his 18-month-old purebred English Bulldog.

Robert “R.L.” Bell, who went to Rutland High School, put out a search for the dog, named Chapel after a university landmark, on Facebook, offering a reward for her return.

Bell reported that Chapel went missing between 7 p.m. and midnight July 12. She and her leash were taken from his residence at the corner of Springdale Street and Stanton Way, near the Five Points area of Athens.

Chapel is described as being a 48-pound white bulldog with spots on her ears.
