Vehicle overturns in front of Warner Robins church as services begin
Services got off to a scary start at Greater Springfield Missionary Baptist Church on Sunday.
Pastor Daniel Jackson said he was inside singing when someone told him there was a wreck outside. He went out to see the overturned vehicle of his sister, Mattie Henley, 73, of Warner Robins.
The wreck happened about 10:20 a.m. in front of the church on Elberta Road, just down from a Family Dollar store.
The Warner Robins Fire Department had to cut the roof off the vehicle to get Henley out, but Jackson said he was able to talk to her and he believes she will be OK.
“The Lord is good,” he said as rescue workers loaded her into an ambulance.
Jackson said she told him she was rear-ended by another car that was traveling at high speed. Jackson said he was told the other driver may have had a medical issue.
No further information was immediately available on the other driver, a male, who was walking after the accident.
