Teen dies in Crawford crash early Tuesday
A 17-year-old man was killed in a single-car crash on Ga. 42 South in Crawford County early Tuesday morning.
Matthew Brennan Bakerink, of Houston County, was driving a tan Toyota Camry westbound near Old Knoxville Road about 5:30 a.m. when the car left the roadway and struck a tree, according to a news release from the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office.
Bakerink was pronounced dead at the scene.
The fatality is being investigated by the Georgia State Patrol and the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office.
