Summer brings new hours for Macon-Bibb garbage, recycling collection

New collection times for Macon-Bibb County garbage, recycling and yard waste are in place for the summer, according to a news release.

Starting Monday, residents are asked to place their items on the curb after 7 p.m. the night before they will be picked up. The new collection times, from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., will allow crews to work during the cooler parts of the day, the release said.
