Bibb sheriff’s office holding free summer CHAMPS camps

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is holding free camps in June through the CHAMPS program, or Choosing Healthy Activities and Methods Promoting Safety.

Registration for children ages 9 to 13 will be held at the Outreach Section office at 2525 Pio Nono Ave. in the old Westgate Plaza.

A copy of a birth certificate is required to apply for up to 75 slots in two four-day camps.

CHAMPS camp will be at Weaver Middle School from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. on June 6-9 and at Southfield Elementary School from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. on June 20-23.
