Those looking to save money and stay close to home this summer need look no further than some of Georgia’s largest cities.
Atlanta was named the sixth best city in the country for a staycation, according to WalletHub, a personal finance website. The rankings compared the 150 largest cities in the U.S. based on recreation, food and entertainment, and rest and relaxation. Atlanta specifically scored high on having the most swimming pools per capita (No. 5).
Columbus ranked No. 41 on the list, with high marks for the most tennis courts per capita (No. 1), while scoring low for having the fewest coffee and tea shops per capita (No. 147).
Augusta rounded out the Georgia cities on the list, with its lowest scores coming in recreation and food and entertainment.
