Macon gunshot victim drives self to hospital

A Macon man told Bibb County Sheriff's Office investigators that someone shot him in the leg as he walked down a street late Saturday night.

Deputies were called to Coliseum Medical Centers about 11 p.m. after a man came in with a gunshot wound, according to a Sheriff’s Office release.

Clinton Roberson Jr., 32, said he was walking to the Marathon gas station located at 2545 New Clinton Road when he heard two gun shots and started running. He said he felt pain in his left ankle, then realized he had been shot and drove himself to the hospital. He is listed in stable condition.
