Macon woman upset about her pickup was arrested in shooting

A Macon woman, yelling about her truck, is accused of shooting a man just before 6 p.m. Monday.

Robert Jackson, 45, was outside a residence at 1296 Third St. when the suspect, Juanita Lewis, drove up in her pickup, according to a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office news release.

“Lewis got out of the truck and started yelling about someone messing with her truck,” the release stated.

She hit Jackson, who pushed her back. She then retrieved a revolver and shot him in the left leg, the release said.

Lewis was later arrested and charged with aggravated assault. The gun was retrieved.

Jackson was in stable condition Monday night at Medical Center, Navicent Health.
