EMS workers host Macon cookout for children

Families are invited to bring their children to a free cookout Tuesday evening at Coliseum Northside Hospital.

The Central Georgia Region 5 EMS is hosting the event and providing entertainment for children from 6 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. on the lawn of the hospital at 400 Charter Blvd., off Forsyth Road in Macon.

The event kicks off with a Hero Meet & Greet Tour and follows with games, clowns, music and safety activities. Hotdogs will be served at 7:30 p.m.

Emergency and SWAT vehicles will be on hand. If weather permits, Air Evac and Air Life Georgia helicopters will land during the event.
